A tincture is an oil that is used sublingually - taken internally by placing the oil under the tongue. Commonly referred to as CBD oil, we use tinctures for a variety of issues by holding the oil under your tongue for 30-60 seconds. Sublingually administered medications, such as CBD oils, are dissolved underneath the tongue before passing directly into the bloodstream. Unlike traditional oral medications, they don’t have to pass through the GI tract or liver. This means they work quickly and aren’t affected by how well the GI tract or liver works.
